£50 deposit is required to book your photo session & the remaining is due the day before your scheduled session.
When is the best time to photograph my baby?
If you missed the newborn session stage, 3 months in the studio is a great place to start or when smiles start to appear. Otherwise, I recommend waiting to photograph your baby between 6-8 months. Around this time your baby is hitting some adorable milestones such as sitting up which gives more flexibility with posing positions.
Where is the photo session based?
In my home studio in Roath. I want all my clients to see my home studio as their 'home from home' so they feel as relaxed as possible. We can have a chat about any specific images you would like over a cuppa. I do offer location sessions (see location photo session information) but recommend babies be over 7 months if a location shoot is what you want.
Are props included in the session?
Yes, I have a number of props to engage your baby (if you have requests for specific props you have seen in my images, please ask). Also, if you have any special teddies/toys please bring them along with you too.
Can family & siblings have pictures too?
Sitter photo sessions are for the baby only, if you would like a variety of images with siblings & family, a family photo session would possibly be better suited for what you want.
What should the baby wear?
Wardrobe is so important in any photo session and I am happy to work closely with my clients so that you are comfortable with your selection and the clothes compliment the images. Please feel free to email me images of suggestions or thoughts as I am happy to offer some guidance. I do have a wide selection of clothes ages 6-18m that you are more than welcome to use, I can show you these when you arrive. Please avoid any clothing with writing on as this can be distracting in your pictures.
Are the images re-touched?
Yes I re-touch the images you will receive to the quality of the images on my website. Yes I re-touch the images you will receive to the quality of the images on my website. Scratched knees and bruised legs are expected with children. Any birthmarks or blemishes you wish to leave please discuss with me.
How many images can I expect?
For the sitter photo session you can expect around 20-30 images depending on the session. As you are purchasing full resolution digital images, these will be yours to reproduce for personal use (no commercial licence). This means you can upload digital images to social media, print/enlarge them or send to family and friends etc. There are many websites from which you can order canvases and there are all sorts of interesting ways to display your images. Having purchased the digital images you can now print these at a very low cost.
When will I get the digital images?
Your images will be edited within 2 weeks of the photo session.
Do you offer any discount for repeat customers?
Yes! If you have had a photo session with me previously and book again for another milestone, another child or just updated images as your children grow, you will receive 10% off and a free framed image of your choice with booking sitter sessions (free framed image is of digital images purchased)
I also have a 'Recommend a Friend' offer; for any friend that you recommend who books a photo session you will receive a free framed image of your choice.
